Dice was Decent
I have been a fan of Dice since the late 80's and always wanted to see him live, so I eagerly accepted the opportunity when I learned he was coming to the Poconos. Gypsies, a small venue, is a nice place to catch an act like Jodeci. The seating is somewhat cramped, with chairs set up tightly packed from the front of the stage all the way to the back of the lounge. It is what it is. A lady came on first to "warm up" the crowd, taking the stage at about 8:05 PM and finishing around 8:20 PM. The sound system or mic quality wasn't ideal for her, making it somewhat challenging to hear everything she said despite being very funny. Dice took the stage a couple of minutes after the warm-up act introduced him, likely close to 8:25 PM. He still has his comedic touch, mixing old and new material in his act. He even confronted a front-row audience member filming with a phone camera, delivering a stern warning. The show lasted about 45 minutes, ending around 9:10 PM, which felt too short for the ticket price. Despite this, I am pleased I attended and would consider going again.
